GBS Mechanical Outfitting Design Engineer

Duration of Assignment: 2 to 3 years

REPORTS TO: GBS Engineering Manager

Primary Functions:

• Input and advice on GBS mechanical outfitting design
• Quality surveillance of Contractor's mechanical outfitting design deliverables

Responsibilities:

• Provide primary quality surveillance of Contractor's mechanical outfitting design deliverables per the Engineering Surveillance Plan, including temporary mechanical outfitting, permanent mechanical outfitting, and equipment for temporary operations for one year without topsides.
• Provide independent advice to Contractor and Company on improvement and optimization of mechanical outfitting systems.
• Provide independent advice to Contractor and Company on analysis and design procedures, details, equipment and material selection, construction procedures, operating procedures etc.
• Participate in HAZOPs of mechanical systems and steward closure of HAZOP action items.
• Liase with electrical and instrumentation engineering support provided by Functional discipline engineers.
• Liase with Company Topsides discipline engineers (electrical, mechanical, I&C, Materials, HVAC).
• Liase with Company Drilling and OLS engineers as required.
• Assist Company with reporting, independent reviews, and gate deliverables as requested.
